01

What the organiser used

  1. 01

    A shareable event listing

The event page carried the description, venue, date, ticket price, checkout, and mobile ticket delivery in one link.

  2. 02

    Direct gateway processing

The R27,500 in online ticket revenue was processed through the organiser's own payment account. TKKT did not hold the event funds.

  3. 03

    Optional supporter top-ups

Twelve attendees chose to add R5,100 beyond their ticket price. One supporter contributed R4,000 of that total.

  4. 04

    QR ticket operations

Each completed booking generated a unique ticket for door verification and organiser reporting.

02

Why this result matters

The case demonstrates the complete paid-event path: a public listing, successful checkout, ticket delivery, organiser reporting, and revenue processed through the organiser's own gateway. Recorded ticket revenue and optional top-ups totalled R32,600.

It does not prove that TKKT creates demand by itself. The organiser still brought the audience and promoted the event. TKKT supplied the transaction and event-operations layer.

03

What the numbers exclude

  • Door sales and cash collections
  • Bar or venue revenue
  • Cash tips or donations outside TKKT
  • Claims about total attendance beyond TKKT ticket records
  • Any suggestion that all optional top-ups were equal in size

FAQ

Questions organisers ask

Was Beyond the Dust sold out?

No. TKKT records show 110 paid tickets issued. The case study deliberately reports the verified number rather than calling it sold out.

Did TKKT collect the R27,500?

No. The organiser's own connected payment gateway processed the ticket transactions.

How was the R5,100 top-up total distributed?

Twelve attendees added optional amounts. One R4,000 supporter accounted for most of the total.

Does TKKT guarantee similar sales?

No. Organisers bring and promote to their own audiences. TKKT provides the listing, checkout, ticket, reporting, and scanning tools.
