Webtickets and TKKT fees

What we can say about Webtickets fees

These are the fees we can verify. Read TKKT vs Webtickets for retail collection and venue partnerships.

Reviewed 30 August 2026. https://www.webtickets.co.za/pricing is not a public fee table. A missing table is not proof that Webtickets publishes no fees. This page does not invent a percentage. Verify the live Webtickets checkout or the contract you are offered.

01

What we can verify about Webtickets

Webtickets is one of South Africa's longer-running ticketing platforms, with deep ties to traditional venue ticketing and Pick n Pay retail collection. Its public site describes a per-ticket service fee. Source: https://www.webtickets.co.za/

We do not state a Webtickets percentage or rand-per-ticket amount because no stable public fee table was available on the review date. Rival comparison pages that quote Webtickets figures are not a usable source. If you already sell on Webtickets, the fee that matters is the one on your next checkout or contract.

02

Verified TKKT money, not a forecast of Webtickets' cut

Beyond the Dust

110 paid tickets at Opium on 6 May 2026. R27,500 processed through the organiser gateway. R5,100 optional top-ups. R0 TKKT platform fees.

Carinus Ignite

253 paid tickets as of 31 August 2026 for the Friday 4 September residence night. R45,110 processed. R0 TKKT platform fees. The event is not sold out.

What you still pay on TKKT

Your Yoco, PayFast, or Paystack card-processing rate. That is the provider's fee, not a TKKT booking fee.

03

How to compare your own night

  1. 01

Take your ticket price and expected sales

Example: 120 tickets at R200 is R24,000 face value.

  2. 02

Look up Webtickets' current service fee on their checkout or contract

Use the figure Webtickets shows you. Do not use a number from a blog or from this page.

  3. 03

    Subtract that from face value

That remainder is what a marketplace fee would have removed before your own card processing.

  4. 04

On TKKT the platform line is R0

Card processing still applies through your gateway. There is no second TKKT booking fee on top.

04

When Webtickets is still the better pick

If you need Pick n Pay collection, a theatre or sports-venue relationship, or a brand attendees already trust for traditional events, Webtickets may be worth their service fee. TKKT does not offer in-store collection.

TKKT is newer (2026) and is built for independent organisers who already bring the crowd. That is a real tradeoff, not a footnote.
